When was last oil change? Is it the gearbox? Lots of other parts to the transmission/drivetrain. Check it's when in gear not in gear etc. More diagnostics to do!

​@@PiggyPoweronly does it at low rpm, it's worse the lower down the gears you get. Service history says clutch and gearbox oil changed 2019. Only done 20k since

It's hard to diagnose at all via some words I'm afraid. Could have put the wrong oil in.... Or could be not related to the box. Id take it to a good mechanic 👍🐖

Hi there .. it's pretty intensive digging this deep into an engine for the first time ... Id say the biggest issue is if a valve clearance is out of spec .... You'll then need to change the shims out for different size etc... I'd recommend negotiating a lower price to factor in the cost of paying a garage to do this for you 👍🐖🐖

No. But I'd still recommend draining even if you do a suction job. It's rare to do it right and get everything out

Some are indeed still well looked after. Electric windows and fog lights aren't exactly high spec at the time the 206 was made. The 306 (older) had better spec with base models ... @FallaXX Kudos. Well done. Yeah easy to work on. Ironically the 1.4hdi is one of the more complex! Try the 1.1 or 1.4 petrol, super super simple

I've found it quite easy to work on with 0 mechanic experience before hand, done electrics, changed filters, fixed air locks, wiper problems, alternator replacement, map sensor replacement with just a general knowledge of where everything is... very keen to drive the GTi models, look very fun for rally

For basic maintenance it's ok... But if you ever tried working on the easier engines... You'd realise how annoying the designer was for the hdi

Any bike has vibrations tbh ...the engine is part of the chassis... Need to be more specific really as to the vibrations

Done a custom on the Dyno tune at Dynojet sadly without a fix... But that's interesting about the fz1 fuel cut... Fyi ALL cars with injectors cut fuel on deceleration (0% throttle)... It's the way it comes back on that's key and other bikes/all cars do just fine

Sounds like for most of the last 30k, no one put any time or money into maintaining it. . . If you did that with any car from 2003, you'd have the same results... Or maybe much worse tbh! Rusting is odd though. Maybe been in salty conditions a lot

It's SUPER rare for have a failed ECU on these... And replacements can be had for £150 plug N play. Exhaust systems are under £200!?! Not sure where you're getting yours. I built an entire system with stainless for £250!

What further adjustment can you get from the R6 cable setup? I found after fitting this with the adjuster at the lever, I can get the clutch feel bob on tbh.

@PiggyPower It just gives it that little bit more feel and adjustment between the 5mm of Clutch freeplay you get at the lever. Haven't done the Clutch arm swap yet so at the moment the Fz6 sometimes feels very 'all or nothing' compared to the R6 in traffic and during u turns. Was very surprised you don't get that further adjustment given its mostly the same engine. Even my R125 had an adjuster after the lever. (Cost cutting I guess from Yamaha 🤷)

My FZ6 has an adjuster on the clutch lever?!

@@PiggyPower Their is a second tensioner on the r6, after the adjuster at the lever. That's what I'm trying to say 😆

Follow the video step by step. Ensure you get the correct replacement beam for yours. A 140gti or 180gti would be a good replacement and upgrade

Sucks doesn't it. Ensure correct oil and do oil changes more frequently will prolong the turbo use. As will allowing the engine to warm before loading it up and cool after heavy driving before switch off.
